Main tools
Transliteration
Transliteration – convert Cyrillic-based text (Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, etc.) to Latin script. Simply type or paste your text into the first field ("Your text"), and the transliterated result will appear in the second field ("Result"). Use the copy button to copy the result.
URL Generator
Go to the URL Generator page to convert any text (e.g., an article title) into a web-friendly URL slug. This tool transliterates text, lowercases it, replaces spaces with hyphens, and removes most punctuation — ideal for SEO-friendly URLs.
Character Counter
Visit the Character Counter page for a simple tool that counts characters in your text as you type.
General features
Dark/Light theme
The app respects your system color scheme by default. You can also manually switch between light and dark themes using the toggle button (usually in the bottom-right corner of the page).
Offline support (PWA)
iTRANSLIT.com works offline! Thanks to Progressive Web App (PWA) technology, the main tools remain available even without an internet connection after your first visit. You can also install the app on your device for faster access:
- On desktop: Look for the install icon (often a computer with a down arrow) in your browser's address bar.
- On mobile (iOS/Android): Use the browser's Share option or menu (⋮) and look for "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App".
Troubleshooting
Display issues
If you experience visual glitches, especially after switching themes or updating the app, try refreshing the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R). Clearing your browser cache can also help in persistent cases.
PWA installation issues
If you cannot install the app on your device:
- Make sure you're using a modern supported browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox).
- Try visiting the site directly (not via an embedded link).
- Ensure you had a stable internet connection on your first visit.
